PLANNING - AUDIENCE PROFILE

 1. Who is my primary target audience?

Our target audience is mainly boys/men from the ages of 11-22. We believe this would be the most effective target audience as they are the prime target audience in films like ours, such as the Maze Runner. The age group allows our viewers to be mature enough to appreciate the cinematography and understand what is happening on screen and going up to 22 means they still have an imagination and can actually picture themselves in the actors' position.

2. What kind of films and television are they likely to prefer?

Our target audience are likely to prefer action-adventure type movies such as The Maze Runner and The Hunger Games. Another possible genre people who might like our movie is a murder-mystery genre, as this is the general theme we are going to be using in our film. 

3. What platforms do they choose to watch films and where are they likely to see information about films?

I believe that our target audience will be almost hipster and enjoy going to independent theatres to watch smaller films that don't have nearly as much budget than films like the Avengers and The Maze Runner. They are likely to see information about films on social media platforms such as Reddit and Twitter. I have chosen those two platforms as they are off-piste; non-mainstream. 

4. What brands do they prefer?

The brands our target audience may prefer are going to Vintage shops and buying clothes from there, again, complying with the hipster persona I believe would enjoy our film.

5. What makes my film stand out from the competition?

Our film is different through how we have combined different genres into one. We have combined action, murder mystery and adventure all into one film and we really believe that it will come off for us in the long run.

6 . Why should my audience watch my film?

My audience should watch my film as it stands out from all the other competitors. We are bringing something new to the scene and we really believe that people will enjoy watching our movie.
